Settha Palace Vientiane
It is a luxury boutique hotel with French colonial architecture in Vientiane, Laos. Built in the early part of the last century, circa 1932, and painstakingly restored to its former imperial glory, the Settha Palace Hotel serves as a testament to the long lost era of classical elegance, gracious service and French colonial charm.
Built in 1932, and restored to its former charm in 1999, the French colonial-style 43-room hotel is ideally located near the city’s commercial district.
Their rooms feature beautiful Italian marble floors and beautiful crafted rosewood furniture, which together offers a comfortable and luxurious environment.
A great place of stay, guests can relax by a free form pool and indulge at their excellent dining venue, La Belle Epoque. Located right in city center, the five-star hotel is within walking distance to the commercial district, where guests can enjoy the many markets, restaurants, and sightseeing attractions. Some of the features of this historic landmark include period furniture and landscaped gardens. It is the ideal hotel for travelers who want to experience the rich history of Vientiane.
Charming service; easy-going air the period ambience; and the pretty tropical garden and landscaped pool to the rear. The whole hotel is beautifully kept and maintained. We also liked the scale – just 29 rooms – and the fact that you really felt as if you were in Indochina, not a bland chain. We liked the room: it was simple, certainly, the simplicity reminiscent of Thirties Indochina – airy, calm, polished wood floors, elegant floor lamps, high ceilings and marble bathrooms.
