Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Greeting at the airport and transfer to your hotel. At leisure to discover the 1000 years old of the Old Quarter of Hanoi if time permit. Accommodation in Hanoi. (B)
Day 2: Hanoi city tour
Hanoi will charm you with its unique blend of Vietnamese and French cultures, its hard-working and friendly people will give you a warm welcome. Visit the historic French Quarter, explore and shop in the Old Quarter, where colorful streets and shops bustle with activities. Accommodation in Hanoi. (B)
Day 3: Hanoi village - leisure biking
AM: Free at leisure - explore the centre of Hanoi on your own.
PM: Take an leisure biking tour to visit villages around Hanoi, where still not affected by the world outside and modern developments: bamboo scenes, rice and maize fields, silent, simple life, natural and hospitable local farmers. Accommodation in Hanoi. (B,L)
Day 4: Hanoi - Sapa
Day free at leisure in Hanoi. In the evening, meet guide and transfer to the train station for a night train to Sapa. (B)
Day 5: Sapa
Arrive in Lao Cai in the early morning. Take an hour drive up hill to Sa Pa which gives you a glimpse of the stunning scenery and impressive rice terraces. Leave the lugguge at hotel, then take a short walk around Sapa town. After lunch, trek down to Cat Cat village, home of the Black H' Mong tribe and learn about architectures, culture and custom. Back to Sapa town. Accommodation in Sapa. (B,L)
Day 6: Sapa
After breakfast, start trekking through pine forests and mountain valleys from one to many different unbreathtaking sceneries for pictures of Lao Chai village, home of the Black H'mong people and Ta Van village, home of the D'zay tribe. Picnic lunch, enjoy and learn about tribal people, about their traditional colorful costumes and typical culture. Accommodation in Sapa. (B,L).
Day 7: Sapa - Bac Ha - Hanoi (Must be on Sunday)
Drive to Bac Ha market - the area's biggest hill-tribe market. The market is a picture that reflects the life and culture of the hill tribes: They go to the market not only for buying and selling stocks but also to meet their friends and lovers; they come to eat traditional dishes and drink corn wine. After lunch, walk around to learn more about the town then take about 2.5hr drive to Lao Cai station for a night train back to Hanoi. (B, L,D)
Day 8: Hanoi - Halong
Arrive Hanoi in the early moring. After breakfast and refreshing, depart at 8:30m for a 3.5 hour drive through the picturesque countryside to Ha Long Bay. Upon arrival embark on a deluxe Junk. Welcome drink is offered by the friendly and professional captain and his crew. Sea food lunch is prepared on board while the boat is gliding lazily across the unbelievably calm sea, with thousands of precipitous limestone peaks jutting dramatically out of the water. Explore the bay and visit its floating villages by tender or kayak, or swim and relax on one of the bay’s secluded beaches. Accommodation on board. (B,L,D)
Day 9: Halong - Hoian
Continue exploring the fantastically-shaped islets, visit floating houses and picturesque fishing village and peal farms. An early lunch is served before disembarking the boat at noon.
Drive back to Noi Bai airport for an one-hour evening flight to Hoian. Accommodation in Hue. (B,L)
Day 10: Hoian
After breakfast, take a walking tour of the charming ancient town, famous as the 17th century trading port of Vietnam, with its fascinating mix of Chinese, Japanese and French architecture, visit some of the highlights, including the Temples of Phuc Kien and Quang Dong, the 16th century Japanese Covered Bridge. Accommodation in Hoian. (B)
Day 11: Hoi an
Today is free. You can get around or go shopping in this lovely town, or spend your time on Cua Dai beach. Accomodation in Hoi An. (B) |
